Your dream wedding day is fast approaching and it is adding up. A recent survey of couples hosting a wedding in 2017 showed the average cost of a wedding is $35,329. Im sure you could put some of those pretty pennies to better use in the future so I have compiled a list of some simple bridal hairstyles you could easily style yourself! All of these are super simple and chic and you dont have to be a hair stylist to execute them. There are so many stylish DYI hair options for so many wedding ideas but this list covers a broad palette of looks and something for every style of wedding dress.
TWIST & PIN- this relaxed but interesting look is simple to execute. You can twist pin to the side of your neck or even down the back of your head. Simply add some IGK Rich kid to your damp hair and dry it while twisting your hair around your fingers. Then once dried and relaxed, loosely sweep your hair to the position you like it. Then take 1-inch pieces and twist it firmly wrap it in a loose bun and secure. Do this to the remaining hair forming a shape you desire. Add diamond comb or flowers for that extra sparkle.
BRAIDS-SIDESWEPT-Braids are so hot right now. Textured, loose and soft braids will be perfect for the boho bride. Start loosely at the front of your head and sweep to the side adding more hair to the braid and relaxing the braid as you go. Finish at the side of your neck, making sure you pull the braid out for volume and texture. Secure with pins in a bun at the side of your neck. Add a hair accent piece like an ornate chain or small flowers to make this even more whimsical.
HOLLYWOOD WAVES-This Hollywood classic is always a head-turning hairstyle. So stunning it never fails to impress and looks difficult to achieve but is quite simple in reality. Blow out your hair straight and sleek-never use a straightener. Taking 1-inch curls starting at the face, curl away from the face. Make sure every curl after that curls the same way away from the face. Once complete, brush out the curls with a bristled brush so the curls form waves. Add serum to provide a sleek appearance. Add a diamond embellishment to one side of your hair for that true Hollywood appeal.
BUN-whether sleek or loose a bun is always stylish and on point. Whether you secure it at the base of your neck or a larger one close to your crown, this style is head turning and oh so polished and elegant. Perfect for those who want to let their beauty shine without any distractions.
HALF UP HALF DOWN- Use a volumizing mousse and dry your hair, making sure you lift it at the roots. Loosely curl 1-inch pieces of hair making sure you alternate the curl facing away from the face than facing towards the face. When you separate this curl it looks mermaid-like. Add some height by backcombing at the crown and then secure in a half up style. Clip in a stylish comb at the base of the crown. Loosen some pieces at the front of your face for added softness and texture.
SLEEK STRAIGHT- Once hair is washed, parted and dried; start to straighten inch pieces of your hair until your entire hair is straight. Add some serum to control the flyaway strands. This look looks divine with a chic crown, headband or side comb.
